Small Wastewater Systems (8040).

Typical Course Length: 3 days

Course Times: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

CEUs: 1.8

This 3 day course provides basic knowledge and information needed to operate Small Wastewater Collections and Treatment systems.  Suitable for operators and/or custodians operating Small Wastewater Systems with up to 500 population on a part time or full time, and needing to acquire knowledge and information to operate said systems efficiently and economically.

  • Electricity and Applied Mathematics
  • Overviews of system components
  • Disinfection
  • Structures and group discussions on mechanical concepts

  • Monitoring
  • Trouble shooting practices

This course will prepare operators to write a Small Wastewater System Certification Exam. MTS will coordinate with EOCP for an examination session to follow this course.

** Note: Environmental Operator Certification Program Certification Exams require separate application online and are to be completed through the EOCP Customer Relationship Management System at https://crm.eocp.ca/  and to be submitted no later than 16 business days prior to the posted date of the scheduled exam.
