This 4.5-day course provides the basic knowledge of water treatment practices, focusing on the practical aspects of the operation, maintenance & monitoring for these processes. Utilizing a hands-on facility combined with theoretical studies provides operators with a dynamic learning environment. Recommended for operators who maintain a facility classified as WT Level I. Course topics include Regulations & Responsibilities, Water Sources, Storage, & Intakes, Math, Coagulation & Flocculation, Sedimentation & Filtration, Additional Treatment Processes, Disinfection, Electrical & Mechanical Equipment, Water Quality, Monitoring & Lab Procedures and General Safety. A great pre-study course for those who will be applying to write the certification exam.
** Note: Environmental Operator Certification Program Certification Exams require separate application online and are to be completed through the EOCP Customer Relationship Management System at https://crm.eocp.ca/ and to be submitted no later than 16 business days prior to the posted date of the scheduled exam. |
