Introduction to Watershed Monitoring and Management <1226546>.

Designed for water system operators, this course offers a basic understanding of watershed management and awareness. Topics will characterize drinking water sources and watersheds, discussing the many seasonal, environmental, human, and industrial impacts on water sources. Topics  and objectives include:

1. Introduction to watersheds - Characterizing drinking water watersheds

2. Source water - Understanding and defining both surface and ground water sources

3. Impacts on source water - To discuss and define the impacts of seasonal, environmental, human, and industrial on source water

4. Watershed monitoring - Evaluating factors to consider in a monitoring program

5. Responsibilities - Identify water system management and operator responsibilities for watershed monitoring
