A one-day course intended for maintenance managers & supervisors, municipal utility department personnel, farm and agricultural businesses, small business owners, and anyone wishing to learn the fundamentals of developing and implementing a CSE Program. The course provides an in-depth review of the OHS / Work Safe BC Regulations, workplace evaluation procedures, personnel training, program documentation, procurement of safety equipment and other components necessary to implement a CSE Program to provide safety to workers in the workplace.  Topics include:

- Establishing the Need

- Definitions

- Identification & Inventory

- OHS Regulations

- Responsibilities

- Hazard Assessments

- Program Requirements

- Implementation

- Types of CSE safety and rescue equipment

- Education and Training

- Establishing a Rescue Plan & Practice Drills

 

Attendees will learn basic CSE Program Requirements in order to develop written procedures with intent to comply with current work-safe regulations and requirements.
