This 4 day course will enhance Operator knowledge and understanding of the four core disciplines of Wastewater Treatment and Collection, Water Treatment and Distribution by reviewing the various technology and processes while introducing more advanced topics.  Other topics covered in this course include; safety, math, laboratory skills, and mechanical processes.

1. Safety  -  Understand regulations and importance of Operators safety while working

2. Water and Wastewater Regulations - Review GCDWQ and EPA regulations. Discuss muni. sewage regs. and changes

3. Administration and Security - Discuss supervision, leadership techniques and security importance for Ops

4. Pressure Pumps and Instrumentation - Review pressure calc., pump types and importance of proper instrumentation

5. Math for Water and Wastewater - Calculations solving various dosing, flow and electrical problems

6. Source Water and Types of Wastewater - Discuss various types of source water and wastewater characteristics

7. Laboratory -   Analyze chemical and lab techniques utilized in W and WW applications

8. Water Treatment -  Discuss various WT processes available and advancements in technology      

9. Water Distribution - Review construction guidelines, chlorination, repair of WD and fire hydrant

10. Wastewater Treatment -  Discuss forms of wastewater treatment and advances in technology

11. Wastewater Collection - Discuss construction and repairs for WWC and maintenance involved
