Supported Operating Systems

These operating systems have been tested to work with UtiliTrak.

• Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional*
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional*
• Microsoft Windows Vista*

* These operating systems require the logged-in user to have administrative priviledges to synchronize UtiliTrak with the handhelds.

Third-Party Hardware & Software

In order to acquire data on-site a Palm-based handheld is required.

• Palm Tungsten E/E2/T/T2/T3/T5
• Palm T|X (recommended)

If a handheld model is not listed it still might be compatible with our software. The main requirement is available system memory to store the databases. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your handheld.

Networked Installations

All support enquiries for troubleshooting or maintaining any networking infrastructure is not included in the standard support fees. A network administrator, or someone with administrator priviledges, MUST be present during any support calls when UtiliTrak is installed in a networked environment.

UtiliTrak officially supports the following two methods of networking to share the database with multiple users, and for backup purposes.

• Windows shared directories (Microsoft Access database)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or higher
