Overview

Traditionally, field data gathered during a cross-connection control facility hazard assessment is recorded on a paper survey form. At some point that data is compiled, summarized and entered into a word-processed document or database to be distributed to the customer.

MTS has developed the FAST program to provide field surveyors with a paperless, on-site data collection and summary compilation process utilizing a Palm-based handheld system. Developed by the founder of MTS to enhance our ability to deliver clear and consistent third party facility assessment data to our customers, FAST is a product of over 15 years of cross-connection experience combined with proven and user-friendly technology. This system eliminates the duplication of resources such as repetitive writing or transcribing field notes and will provide an increase in available time of at least 1 hour per day on average. When you're done at the customer's, you're done the report. Upon completion of the daily assessments, and once back in your office, a user friendly download to the desktop PC select and print process will provide the customer's summary reports within minutes. FAST then provides the tools to manage your entire backflow prevention program including customer correspondence and communications as well as backflow assembly inventories and testing history.
